My name is Will Mills, I’m a mature student currently about to go into my 3rd year of studying Ecology at the University of Brighton. After several years in the hair industry as a senior gents stylist, I decided to go back into education to follow my childhood love of wildlife and the natural world. I completed an Access to science diploma in 2014 at Cambridge Regional College with an overall Merit, and got accepted into Brighton. Since coming to Brighton I have gotten involved in many exciting things; being one of the first set of students to attend the British Ecological Society’s undergraduate summer school, contributing to urban mammal research on fox behaviour, fish surveys with the Environment Agency, an amazing field trip to a South African game reserve, joint president of the Brighton University Ecological Society and currently volunteering at Bedelands Nature reserve and the Burgess Hill green circle. I’m loving my journey so far and looking forward to what the future may hold.
I’ve created this blog to document the progression of my career and enable people to see my current projects and activities as well as be a space for me to develop my budding photography skills.
